Dish Hilted Transitional Spanish Rapier
An interesting Spanish rapier c17th century with an all steel hilt and a shallow bowl-shaped guard. The quillon, knuckle-guard, pommel and grip are each decorated with a faceted pattern. The short central fuller is engraved "Hans Moun Solindio", and the blade is of a typical design, starting out as hex cross-section and transitioning into a diamond section towards the tip, overall the blade is 91.7cm
